And....We're Back!

It's been about a month since I've written anything here.  With everything going on, I've been really busy out there, helping people, defending Metropolis, helping rebuild all over, that my experiences lately have been kind of monotonous.  Until lately.  My sisters, the Amazons, have joined the fight.  They are also helping to defend Metropolis, which seems to have this massive meta-gang problem.  Where did all these people come from, and why do they seem to think its a good idea that they just take over?  Do they really think they can get away with it?  I mean, they know people are going to come for them, eventually.  In the short term, sure, maybe you get away with it, for a while, but in the long term?  Are people just thinking everything civilized has gone away?  Maybe in some parts of the world, but not here.  So, the Amazons have taken the field, and they really don't get the concept of "peace keeping".  We are warriors, we fight wars.  And, even my mother has taken the field to help.  My mother, the supervillain.  She has been a warrior for, what 3000 years?  She is so skilled, its hard to believe.  She is keeping Amazon casualties down, and making sure that we win most of the battles.  She is also (the catch) recruiting.  She is rallying what Amazons she can to her banner, and while she is fighting a war, she looks good.  We spoke after one particularly vicious battle recently.  She wants me to forgive her, and go with her, be part of whatever she is going to do after this is over.  I can't.  When I was very young, she made it clear that I wasn't important to her, because I had no powers.  She only has been interested in me lately because, a) I've been hanging out with Wonder Woman, and b) finally have powers.  That kinda thing is hard to forget.  She points out that we both are the better part of immortal, we won't get sick, we don't age.  We can die in combat, but that is about all.  She plans to out wait me.

Gosh, I'm rambling.  Other things going on.  Octive, my teammate, has been kidnapped by her demented sister.  And thanks to Batwoman, we didn't find out until about 2 days later.  Since her sister has a space ship, we really have nothing to do.  We could go and look for her, personally, but where do we start?  We alerted the Green Lantern Corps, as they were after her sister anyway, and I gave Lobo a call.  He already has a bounty on the Renegades, and he has a separate bounty on Octave, so I figured if I told him, he would make this a priority.  And, I asked him to call me if he found them.  So, yeah, if he does find them, my team will probably have to fight Lobo again.  And, he knows that we will probably try to get her back, and he'll still call us anyway.  Cause he's crazy like that.

Remember I mentioned the Outsiders a couple months back?  How they went on a really dangerous mission, and never came back?  Well, one of them did!  Skyline is back.  She's a cyborg, with some Kryptonian thrown in there.  I guess she's a tech wiz.  Anyway, she said the Outsiders survived what they did, and where on the way back, when they got separated, and thrown into different dimensions.  To her sense of time, she's been gone about 20 years.  People say she's changed.  I didn't know her back then.  She's attractive, but I'm still with Junior Supes.  And, she'll be joining the Birds of Prey!  With Octave out, we need another field operator.  I don't know how she fights, but we'll find out.  The Birds got together recently.  We are going to start team operations again.  No, I'm not going to say what we are doing, cause anyone can read this, but these blog posts will be starting up again.
