So, after fighting for about a week straight, only taking breaks to sleep and eat, I was given a day off. All us "younger" heroes were, though not at the same time. I insisted I didn't need one, that I was fine, but I was told mental health is as important as physical help, and that the older heroes are more used to "crisis mode" as he put it, so we get a day off. A lot of people slept. I don't need that much sleep, so I did some other things. My friend and teammate Gekko had a lovely statue destroyed in a super battle, and I've been trying to replace it with something I made. Came out horrible. I gave it to her anyway, more as a gag then anything else, and I'll try again. My sculpture usually involves metal, iron, and beaten metal, and and trying to make something very delicate, and I'm just not getting the hang of it. I hung out with Superboy for a bit, and I did some work at the Embassy that I've been putting off. Turns out I will get to meet the President, at some point in the future. Diana is going for a private meeting with the man, and I've been asked to be there to help her, to "staff" her, I think is the term. Oh, and I get a staffer too! It seems the Under the Cape has taken in interest in this blog, and is publishing paraphrases of it, designed to make the information seem more salacious than it really is. So, I'm getting a staffer to help me deal with the pr, and the day to day stuff that I haven't been able to deal with myself while I've been dealing with the current crisis. So, hello to all you new people reading, thanks to the Under the Cape. Sorry it isn't exactly what you were expecting. I had a great half a day off. I'm only taking half a day. I'm putting myself back in. I can't stop everything from happening, but I can do my part.
Later all!
